Susan Flores, a woman of extraordinary grace, resilience, and compassion, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025. Born on March 6, 1937, in Pasadena, California, Susan lived a life rooted in love, service, and faith.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Susan’s greatest joy came from her family. She shared a beautiful life with her beloved late husband, Leon Flores, in Dana Point, where together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and faith. She was the proud mother of Karyn Jones, Stephen Flores, and John Flores, who were truly the light of her life. Her legacy continues through her seven cherished grandchildren and four adored great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward her spirit of kindness and strength.
Susan touched countless lives as a dedicated teacher, inspiring generations of students with her patience, wisdom, and unwavering belief in the potential of others. A cancer survivor and a pillar of her church community, she faced every challenge with courage and faith, serving as a steadfast source of comfort and guidance to those around her.
Those who knew Susan will remember her gentle heart, her generous spirit, and the way she made everyone feel seen and valued. Her presence brought light to every room, and her memory will continue to illuminate the lives of those who loved her.
May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may we honor her memory by living with the same love, grace, and compassion she so freely gave.
