Susan J. Fischer-Hoof, 67, passed away on April 18, 2025, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, New York.

Born on January 27, 1958, in Niskayuna, NY, Susan was the daughter of the late Charles and Carol Jurewicz. She grew up in Rotterdam and graduated from Draper High School in 1976. Committed to furthering her education, she went on to earn an MBA from Russell Sage College—an achievement that reflected her dedication and drive.

Susan built a long and respected career as an Executive Assistant at Sunmark Credit Union in Latham before her retirement 2 years ago. Her professionalism and commitment left a lasting impression on her colleagues, who will remember her not only for her work ethic but also for the camaraderie she brought to the workplace.

She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Hoof of Halfmoon; her son, Robert C. Fischer and his wife Melissa of Stillwater; her daughter, Kelly S. Fischer of Albany; and her sister, Diane M. Ferrara of Clifton Park. Susan also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who were part of her extended family circle.

In accordance with Susan’s last wishes, all services will be private.
