Susan “Susie” Fincher, 70, of Winter Haven, FL, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Auburndale, FL, after a long illness.

Susie was born on December 9, 1955, in Troy, OH to the late Max and Mae (Holland) Swabb. Susie is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, Charles “Corky” Fincher, and her beloved daughter, Katie Fincher, both of Winter Haven, FL; sisters, Jane Perdue (Gary) of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Amy Sumerlin (Stan) of Winter Haven, FL; her nephew, Grant Clark of Birmingham, AL; and her niece, Paige Clark (Madalyn) of Mulberry, FL. Susie was preceded in death by her sister, Molly Lynn.

Before her retirement, Susie did office work and was a natural talent in telemarketing. In her later years, she found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life—reading her Bible, watching Westerns, and spending time by the pond at her home, delighting in the turtles that brought her peace and comfort.

Susie’s life was celebrated with a private graveside service at Wildwood Cemetery, 800 South Woodlawn Ave., Bartow, FL. Williams Funeral Home provided arrangements.
