Susan's obituary

Susan Diane Walker, age 66, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, Texas. She was born on October, 15, 1953, at St. Ann Hospital in Abilene, to William and Helen (Welch) Smith. In 1972 she graduated from Cooper High School and went on to graduate with a B.S. in Education from Hardin-Simmons University.
On November 5, 1977 she married her husband, Michael Timothy Walker. Susan had an energetic and infectious personality that touched many children and co-workers throughout her teaching career. Her passion for caring and loving those that she was around was expressed vividly through her marriage, motherhood, and her relationships with family and friends. Susan truly loved life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family and spending time with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She always had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Her smile that could light up the room and laughter that could warm the hearts of those around her will be missed.
