Susan Jette Childs passed away on May 2, 2021 after a brief battle with lung cancer.

Susan was born on August 31, 1956 to Edward and Sue Belle Childs in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from Marlborough High School in 1974, she continued her studies at Loyola Marymount University before completing her bachelor's degree at Santa Clara University.

Acting was a first love and she pursued a career on the stage throughout her formative years. Eventually, she grew into a role as full-time caterer and was able to combine her passions of cooking and meeting new people in a profession she thrived in.

In 1983, she met Michael, and they wed in 1985. They went on to have three children: Daniel, Caitlin, and Cameron. While she spent most of her life in Los Angeles, in 2010 she and Michael moved to Crestline, a small town nestled in the San Bernardino mountains.

We remember Susan as an incredibly generous and loving person who found the funny in every situation. She cared deeply for each person who came into her life. Even as her health failed her, she took joy in celebrating the good news of friends and family and hated to talk about herself. She was our light and we will miss her profoundly.

Susan was preceded in passing by her grandmother, Virginia Thom Kenney, and mother, Sue Belle. She is survived by her husband Michael and three adult children.
