Susan was a dear friend, colleague, and lunch companion for many years at Yale Divinity School. The world is less fun without her in it. She was fearless, honest, and loving. My love and prayers go to out to you, Brett, and to all those who love Susan.

Susan was one of the first welcoming faces that I dearly remember upon starting my work in the libraries at Yale. Susan is so easy going that we became instant friends from the day we met. I am so sorry and shocked at Susan's passing. My condolences to Brett and the family.

My condolences to Susan’s family and friends. I worked for Susan at the Yale Divinity School library for a year while I was a Masters student. She was a joy to work with and a kindhearted, warm person all around. She will be missed.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of my Aunt Susan. I will forever miss her quick wit, caring nature and fun personality. Always willing to express her ideas and share her experiences, she taught me so much throughout life. Never missing a birthday or special event she knew how to make me feel valued and loved. I will cherish my memories with her baking cookies, ice skating by her house in Clinton and her reading stories to me as a child. Recently I enjoyed discussing old movies and our pets together. I admired her strength, ambition and generosity. And appreciated her ability to always be a source of support and love. Rest In Peace Aunt Sue , You will always be in my heart. Your nephew Jason

It is about a year since Susan and I reconnected on Facebook., just as many SMHS alumni have done!
Susan was so proud of her family , her past work accomplishments, her beautiful home she shared with her “ sweet Bret”, and her coco! She shared so many photos of her family out of pride and love and all of them gave her such joy. I will miss her conversations and updates but I truly will miss the rekindled friendship that was still evolving.
I sincerely hope and pray Bret gathers strength in knowing how endeared Susan was to so many.
Rest In Peace dear friend, til we meet again.

This may be a repeated post. I was saddened to hear of Susan's passing. We reconnected at our 50th high school reunion and remained in touch via Facebook. I fondly remember her posts of-as she called him-her sweet Brett, her work years at Yale, her family whom she was proud of, her lovely home and her beloved puppy, Coco. May your memories sustain you...remember...life has not ended, only changed....

Susan and I met in 1990 when I was starting my Masters at Yale Divinity School. Susan had just married Brett that summer and I did not meet her until the semester had begun. She was a great boss and a good friend. I will always remember her telling me that I would end up being a librarian and me telling her she was crazy. Well, I was a theological librarian for almost 15 years so who was the crazy one? I stayed in contact with her through the years and we shared many stories of our dogs and our lives. Just this past year, we both got puppies and we'd commiserate about their biting and house-breaking training. She was in love with Coco . I will miss chatting with Susan but I know she is resting in God's loving arms.
