Susan Elaine Beckner, aged 66, passed away on June 27, 2024, in Venice, FL. Born in Buffalo, NY, Susan lived most of her life in Venice, FL. She touched many lives with her vibrant personality and generous spirit.

Susan spent her career in the banking industry. She was an active and cherished member of Unity Church of Venice, where she made many significant contributions, including serving many years on the church board. She could often be found volunteering in God's Cafe where people always enjoyed her deviled eggs.

Susan was known for her kindness, feisty spirit, and the joy she brought to every room. She always had a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye. Her hobbies included pottery and crocheting. She loved spending time with her friends, playing poker, and always looked forward to football season.

She is survived by her sister, Patricia Lochnicht; brothers, Fred and Greg Thompson; sisters in law, Janine and Debbie Thompson; stepdaughter, Christine Wetjen Briggs;  granddaughters, Katherine and Gillian Brinson;  nephew and niece, Shawn and Lisa Singeisen; niece Molly Thompson, nephews Micheal, Matthew, and Mark Thompson; great nephew Jonathan Reilly. Susan was predeceased by her husband Harry Beckner and brother, Micheal Thompson. 

A celebration of life will be held at Unity Church of Venice on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at 12:30 p.m., followed by a reception where friends and family can share memories and honor Susan's life.
