Susan's obituary

Susan B. Barnett (Vanderlinde) of Evart passed away Tuesday, December 24th, 2024 at Butterworth hospital of Grand Rapids at the age of 71.

She married her loving husband, John Barnett on August 12th 1995.

She was proceeded in death by her father Henry "Stub" James Vanderlinde and mother  Lorretta Elaine Vanderlinde (Tetro).

She was born November 18th 1953 and is survived by her husband John Barnett. Siblings Henry "Butch" Vanderlinde Jr., Brian Vanderlinde, and Karen Vanderlinde. Children Jeanna Williams (Mullin), William Mullin, Jamie Mullin, and Marion Pike (Mullin). Grand Children Jessica Snider (Davis), Makaila Rastello (Mullin), Dakota Pike, Justin Davis, James Mullin, Ayden Mullin, and Lilliana Mullin as well as many great grand children, nieces and nephews.

She lived an adventurous life filled with family, friends, motorcycles and horses. In her younger years she enjoyed rodeos, barrel racing, camping, and team penning with her friends and family. She was a long time attendee of Sparta Rodeo and even participated in the wild horse races there.

In later years She became known as "the mudboggin granny" and enjoyed baking, canning, crafting, gardening and spending time with her dogs and family in the yard around her pool.

She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She requested no funeral services be held, but her family will hold a celebration of life at the Sylvan Township hall in Evart on January 12th at 1:00 pm.
