My condolences to Sunny Glasgow’s(Sunny G) family. I first met SunnyG   in 1999 at Greystone Psychiatric Hospital, Morris Plains New Jersey. I was a recent immigrant into the United States employed as an HSA(Human services assistant) and had newly  moved up from being an HSA to Rehabilitation Associate. He was working as an HSA at a different location of the hospital. We met in the cafeteria and he asked me how I got the position because he wanted to move up also. I introduced him to the director and he got he got the job. From that meeting our friendship started and solidified as he tagged along with me as we upwardly moved to Quality Assurance Technician(QAT), then to Quality Assurance Specialist(QAS). He introduced me to his beautiful wife, ‘Babe’, Mrs. Megal and I did same of my wife. I eventually left ‘Greystone’ to pursue my medical career and he went on to have a successful, meritorious career and subsequently retired. He kept up with my life adventures and when we came back to New Jersey after my residency training, we resumed our friendship. He loved his wife and children so much. He kept me abreast of his health conditions, his travels, his children and celebrations when bundles of joy as new babies were born. Sunny G was outgoing, a friendly, social and sociable human being. He loved his fellow human beings. He will give you the shirt he is wearing if you are in need. He will come to your home to celebrate or commiserate with you. He enjoyed his life. He was a pan-Nigerian man. My family and I will miss him. We comfort his amiable wife, his children, Mollie and Michelle and the rest. May Sunny G Rest In Peace. Amen!

I was really saddened to hear of your father’s passing. I know you’re struggling with the loss but I’m always here for you. I don’t know how to console you but I want to let you know that such a great loss is not only yours to bear.  You have my undying admiration, support and encouragement. Remain strong.

I will be there with you always to share. We will miss his presence and wisdom forever.

Dear Daddy,

I call you "Dear" because I see that you loved and we're loved, greatly.

An excellent role model for many, I may not know the story, but I see the evidences. Yours was a life well spent and we are indeed thankful to God for every step He has led you while you were here. We couldn't ask any less. We know that the beloveds of God do not die, they transition. You have paid the ultimate price and you're at a better place; with the saints.  Your loved ones will always tell sweet stories of how you lived and overcame.

Until  we all meet again, Good night Daddy; and into your new Dawn.

-Chinyere, Zioha and Zikachi.
