Glenda “Sue” Swaney Hunt, 83, of Troy passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Atrium Health Stanly Hospital in Albemarle.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Ophir Methodist Church Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Casey Harris.

Sue was born December 3, 1940, in Montgomery County, to the late Raymond Swaney and Martha Harris Burris. Sue loved working in her yard and taking care of her many flowers. Sue enjoyed getting out, riding around, and thrift shopping. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her pets, Duke and Dixie.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristie Blankenship (Crockett) of Troy; grandchildren, Kyndall Cain (Adam) of Candor, Kylie Blankenship and Jesse Hunt, both of Troy; and great-grandchildren, Brantley Cain and Khloe Cain. She is preceded in death by her husband, Reggie Hunt; sons, Johnathan Hunt and Reggie Hunt; brother, Billy Burris; and sister, Debbie Burris.

Bumgarner Family Funeral Service is serving the Hunt family.
