Sue's obituary
Lynne Holgate, 62, of West Jordan, Utah, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, in the comfort of her home and in the loving company of her family a few months after being diagnosed with end stage ovarian cancer.
Lynne Holgate was born on 12/13/1959 in Salt Lake City Utah. The youngest of four children, until her baby sister came along eleven years later. She looked up to her older siblings and never wanted to be left behind and was also a great big sister. From the start, Lynne was a precocious and curious child but above all else was devoted to family and looked forward to being a mom one day. In her early days, Lynne had ambitions to be a model and dancer. She gave birth to her first child in 1981 and quickly devoted her life to being the best mother she could be. She found her path in cosmetology in the late 1980s and thus began her lifelong career as a stylist. She met her husband, Ralph Holgate in the 80’s married early 90’s and Lynne’s dream of being the best mom was fully realized with the addition of two more daughters 1992 and 1998. In the early 2000s after the passing of her mother at the age of 65, Lynne was compelled to a calling of providing stylist services in care facilities for aging adults.
Above all else, Lynne cared for others and provided a listening ear and understanding to those who needed it most. Lynne had a thing for the underdog and on many occasions provided support to those in need. Those who know Lynne feel that they also know her daughters and grandchildren through association. She was a proud mom and grandmother and she made sure to share pictures, videos, and stories of her family with her clients. Her love and pride of her family was thoroughly felt and will be a legacy that continues throughout generations to come.
Lynne was preceded by her parents, Mary & Mike Fowler; and her brother, Larry Bosen. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Holgate; her siblings, Luann & Preston Waller, Clark Bosen, and Mary & Sean Reeder; her children, Sean Holgate, Bobbi Holgate, Miranda Graul, Kortnie &Seath Bingham, and Mekenzie Holgate; and last but certainly not least her grandchildren, Shawn Creasap, Kayce Miles, Maisy Crawford, and Elijah Bingham.
At this time there is no service being held, but the family plans to hold a celebration of life in the spring per Lynne’s request.
