Sue Womack Burnett
October 2, 1942 – July 14, 2025
Sue Womack Burnett of Tomball, Texas, and a former resident of Sugar Land, Texas, and Houston, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025. She was 82.
A devoted mother, sister, daughter, aunt, friend and animal lover, Sue lived a full life and is lovingly remembered by her family and lifelong friends.
She is survived by her children, son Thomas Burnett (and wife Tracy) of McKinney, Texas, daughter Amy Burnett Reyna (and husband Andy) of Navasota, Texas, and son David Burnett (and wife Amber) of Spring, Texas; her cherished sisters and best friends Nancy Womack Corneillie (and husband Jerry) of Longview, Texas, Robbie Womack Abercrombie (and husband T.V.) of Navasota, Texas, and Bonnie Womack Benad (and husband Kendall) of Monahans, Texas; grandchildren Cole Burnett and Jesse Burnett, Emily Reyna (and fiancée Travis Gallard) and Noelle Reyna Lemons (and husband Jacob), and Jessica Burnett (married to Jessie) and Megan Kowalski (and husband Austin), great grandchildren Julie Lemons, Jameson Burnett, Penelope Kowalski and Matthew Kowalski; numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Sue was preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Lee Rankin Womack and father, Robert W. Womack.
She served as an executive secretary throughout her professional career after graduating from John Foster Dulles High School in Sugar Land and later attending Blinn College and Northeast Louisiana University. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sugar Land.
Her family wishes to thank the devoted staff and her friends at Tomball Retirement Center, Sue’s home for the last decade, as well as her great medical providers at FHP Geriatrics in Tomball, and more recently, the caring staff at Bristol Hospice.
If considering a donation in her memory, Sue dearly loved animals, especially her dogs, and any gift to a local animal shelter or the SPCA would be appreciated. Her family is planning a private memorial service at a later date.
