I send my deepest condolences to Stu’s loved ones. My heart aches to imagine such tragic loss happening so suddenly.

I only knew Stu through a narrow and powerful lens. He showed up as a loving adult to children that weren’t “his”.  I only knew Stu through Zara and when I read his beautiful obituary I am not surprised.  Even at the narrow view I had, he was everything as wonderful as described.

Zara’s sons and mine grew up in the same classes through elementary, middle and high school. And for x amount of years, Stu has been there at every concert, graduation, game, party, etc.!  It is no surprise he showed up for these kids. And what a blessing he brought to this world.

He will be deeply missed. May his love for you all shine bright from within you.

Dear Julie and the rest of the Strothman family, I am so sorry to learn of Stuart’s death. Please accept my deepest condolences. May his memory be a blessing.
I will likely post more than once on here, as there is so much to be said about this wonderful man who led his life in such an inspiring way...my son just read the beautifully written obituary and was curious about Morris Dancing, which Stu loved so much. We found this YouTube video and Stu appears in this a lot, he is in the blue vested group wearing a hat...I am certain his friends from this arena could add a lot more detail, but since I found this clip, I thought I would share it here for anyone unfamiliar with Morris Dancing wanted to see Stu enjoying it: https://youtu.be/zB41uo7g_rk?si=2nZDSa7dIvznVuRh

I’ll always remember Stu as the kind guy that was always great to be around.

From college days to more recently, my regret is not to spend more time having fun with our shared friendships from our days in New  Paltz. ❤️🌈

We had the privilege of hosting Stu and Zara on their roadtrip travels through Virginia. Every time we laughed until our faces hurt and tears rolled down our cheeks.  Thank you to Stu (and Zara) for such joyous memories. Stu, you will be missed.
