Stradley's obituary

August 17, 2020 Stradley Smith, of Greensboro passed away. Stradley was a free spirit who is survived by her parents, Robert W. Smith and Donna J. Walton; sister, Storey Sears; and many additional family and friends who all love her immensely.

From a young age, Stradley was passionate about art in many forms. Dancing was a necessity in life. Stradley parlayed her love for art into choosing to work with children. At UNCG, she began working at the child care center while pursuing a degree in art. She worked there for many years and decided to obtain her masters in Early Childhood Education. She then moved on to assist others to become teachers as a Licensure-Only Coordinator.

While education was her calling, her life was filled with adventure. Sky diving, scuba diving and travel were just a few of the things she enjoyed. Stradley loved music and made many lifelong friends at both Grateful Dead and Phish shows. Her animals were her loves. Dogs, cats, hamsters, snakes~ she loved them all.

Described by many as simply a kind and gentle soul, she will be greatly missed as she dances across the Rainbow Bridge.

If you wish to remember her life, please do so by donating to Hartman's Haven Dog Rescue or Shatterproof at shatterproof.org.
