Will's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stewart "Will" William Clay, age 61, of Bastrop, TX. He passed from this life to his Heavenly home on Sunday April 30, 2023 in Austin Texas. 

Memorial services will be at St. Peter's by the Lake, 3128 Park Rd. 36, Possum Kingdom Lake, Graford, TX 76449, 10am on Saturday, June 24th .

Will was born in Quanah, TX on December 8, 1961 to William Henry Clay and the late Virginia Lou Stewart Clay. He had four siblings, Teresa Price, Jimmy Clay, Diane Smith and Tami Hitt. Previously married to Betty Rickels of Graham, TX. He lived throughout Texas including, Quanah, Graham, Euless, Burleson and Bastrop.

His Christian faith was deeply important to him throughout his life and he strove each day to live his life for Christ. He loved to laugh and make those around him laugh along. He absolutely loved to spoil his grandchildren with sweets. He was very much a child at heart. Some of his favorite past-times included: reading, woodworking, visits to Possum Kingdom Lake, and table-top and computer gaming. He enjoyed making things with his hands.

Will is survived by: daughter, Elizabeth Hardy and husband Richard of Graham, TX; daughter, Crystal Lynch and husband Adam of Benbrook, TX; grandchildren: Angelique and Auron Hardy of Graham, TX and Rheay and Evelyne Lynch, of Benbrook, TX; father, William Clay of Bastrop, TX; sister, Diane Smith and husband Gary of Smithville, TX; brother, Jimmy Clay of Smithville, Tx; and sister, Tami Hitt and husband Steve of Bastrop, TX and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Will was preceded in death by mother, Virginia Clay and sister, Teresa Price.
