To Charlotte and Sheri and Charlotte and all of Steve's extended family and friends, I hope for peace and healing. I am so sorry for your loss!
I always expected to cross paths with Steve again and it would be like we never lost a minute. He was like that. We had life memorable experiences first in Rapid and "out in the field" then later here in Colorado. We lost touch just following our paths through schools and careers but we thought of Steve and family often. Steve will always make me laugh and smile, just not today.
My deepest sympathies to Steve's family and close friends.
I worked closely with Steve for at least a decade and was privileged to have a front-row seat to see his wizardry and his terrific sense of humor. Between receiving "Done-a-rooni!" in response to a simple request, to a lengthy explanation of some code changes and his concern that I test it carefully in case he goofed something up (yeah, right), to our Thursday afternoon calls that were usually the highlight of any week, I enjoyed every nanosecond of our interactions.
Please accept our deepest and heartfelt condolences. We are so sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you and family.
It is never easy to lose a loved one. Our only comfort are the memories he left behind. We will always remember Steve as a loving and caring man that he always willing to help anyone who needed it. He had a big heart and a big smile that made you feel like he really cared about you.
We will miss Steve. We hope that his soul will rest in peace.
