I first met Andy on December 5th, 1982, he was the prettiest baby I’d ever seen. We didn’t know he was a yellow jaundice baby, he looked like he had a beautiful tan with his blonde hair, he was just gorgeous. Needless to say, he overcame it, like he overcame a lot of adversity. He was such a precious boy and a good nephew, may favorite nephew, even though he was my only nephew😘. We were truly blessed to have him in our lives for 43 years. One funny story that we always talk about was Easter when he was probably four and there was a Voltron egg that somebody had put the sleeve on and made an Easter egg out of it. And he wanted that Voltron egg, someone else found it and he was so mad. When the next egg hunt, he found the cherished Voltron egg. To preserve his precious find, he placed the egg in the car and locked door with the keys in it. We spend all afternoon trying to get the door open. He wanted to protect his Voltron egg! He was my Google before Google was around, I had told my kids he had said a calico cat is a female, he had told me that mice only have a vision of 2 feet in front of them, they’re not all seeing. Any kind of information I was looking for you could just ask Andy. He was very intelligent in the gifted program at St. Genevieve school, but he never made you feel like you were asking a stupid question. I had the pleasure of taking him and his four friends to our family lake area for a camping experience. It was so much fun. He was so loved and he loved others. He’s truly going to be missed!
