We mournfully announce the passing of Steven L. Thurman, 77, of Onalaska, WI. Steven passed away peacefully on January 10, 2023, holding the hand of his daughter Lineve.

Steven, was the first born child to Linwood and Helen Thurman, on December 16, 1945 in Madison, WI. Steven was a thoughtful, sensitive soul from the get go. A true scholar, Steve graduated from UW-Madison where he mostly studied humanity among other subjects. He lived a full and vibrant life with his university friends and teachers. However, it was his daughter Lineve Redlin and son-in-law Jonathan Redlin, and subsequently his grandchildren Benvolio (9) and Adayla (6), that brought him more joy than words can describe. Steve devoted most of his time to reading, driving the back roads in the Driftless Area and bible study. We miss him dearly but we know he is busy enjoying the library in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Services will be held at Olivet Lutheran Church in La Crosse, WI on Saturday Feb 25th, 2023 at 11AM. Please consider wearing Badger Red in honor of his favorite team to celebrate Steve. 

Steve was preceded in death by his father Linwood , his mother Helen, his sister Jeanne and his brother Bryan.
