Rev. Steven Raymond Harold Tannahill was called home to Heaven on May 29, 2025 at the age of 72 in Toronto, Ontario after a brief illness.

Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Steven was the eldest son of G. Orville and Dorothy Tannahill (Shea). He loved to swim and worked as a lifeguard in his youth. He later followed a calling to the ministry, completing his studies at Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary, St. Catharines, Ontario in the first graduating class. He served in Moosomin/Broadview, Saskatchewan and Delhi, Ontario. Steven was known for his compassion, warmth, and unique ability to connect with others—especially children and youth, with whom he shared the Gospel through creative puppet shows.

Steven will be lovingly remembered for his beaming smile, generous hugs and unwavering faith in a loving saviour, all of which he shared enthusiastically, bringing comfort and joy to those who knew him.

He is survived by his children Rachel (Ari), Steven (Chasi), Leah, and Sarah (Osmel); his grandchildren Izabella, Abigael, Liam, Jacob, and Jonah; his brothers Bruce, and David (Roberta); along with many extended family and friends who will miss him deeply.
