Steven's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Svetlik, a man of great spirit and indomitable will, on February 2, 2026. Born on June 16, 1959, he lived a life filled with love, wisdom, and joy. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Steve's caring nature never failed to shine through in all his interactions. He was a man who believed in the inherent goodness of people and always went out of his way to lend a helping hand. The best lessons he had to share were that of life's ups and downs, the inevitable pull of gravity, and the importance of choices and accepting their outcomes.

Being a proud and present grandpa was one of Steve's greatest accomplishments and sources of joy. His unconditional love for his family, friends, and community will forever be his enduring legacy. This legacy will be carried forward by his loving grandchildren, Dominic, Rowan, Nesryn, and Orion who he cherished deeply.

A Celebration of Life for Steve will be held on February 28, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Faith Bible Church. It will be a fitting tribute to a man whose life, full of love and giving, touched so many people. Please wear flannel in his honor.  Steve's absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his influence will continue to be felt by all those he left behind.

As we mourn the loss of our beloved Steve, we also celebrate the remarkable life he led and the positive impact he had on so many people. He will forever be in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
