Steve sounded like a really interesting person, that I wish I could have met.

I was devastated to hear this. He was in my sister Sarah and Doug Copi’s wedding 22.5 years ago. Then when I started flying as a flight attendant at a young age (20 yrs ago), we would often see each other at work. My favorite days were the ones I’d see him and I felt so cool that I knew one of the “secret good guys.” We would just act like we knew each other from my sister and Doug, but really behind the scenes, we knew what the story actually was. We’d catch up on his family adventures and me with my crazy life. If he was working my flight, I knew I was more safe than ever. He will be deeply missed, especially on those days where now I know one of the “good guys” won’t be him. I am gutted for this wonderful family and hope that soon they will be able to find peace in the good memories, that’s where the healing seems to come.
