Steven Russell, 74, of Blue Ridge, TX, passed away on September 15, 2022 after a long and hard battle with COPD and COVID.

Steven was born on May 29 , 1948 to William Russell and Clarissa Russell in Oak Cliff Texas. After graduating from South Oak Cliff High  in May 1966 , he landed his first job as a type writer repairman for his father  for many yrs . In 1965, he met Mary Russell, and they wed in 1966, going on to have 3 children, David ,Yvette ,and Blythe.


Steven was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of David, and two daughters Yvette and Blythe, and Mary and always tried his best to support them.


Steven was also  passionate antique cars and trucks and could often be found off building hot rods when he wasn’t at home.


Anyone who knew Steven knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Steven was predeceased by his grandmother Bea , grandfather Horice ,Father William and mother Clarissa as well as his eldest son David . He is survived by his brother Clint, sister Karyn,  Wife Mary, Daughters Yvette ,and Blythe,as well as two grandsons, and one great grandson .


The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to 815 Fisher st. Sulphur springs ,Texas 75482 . The Memorial Service will be announced at a later time .
