Steven's obituary

Steven Randall Kammerer, “Randy,” 64, of Port Deposit, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Friday, March 8th, 2024. A talented mason, bricklayer and brilliant auto mechanic, Randy was known for being a spirited, fearless individual and always the life of the party. In 2020, he suffered several medical setbacks, but through strength and perseverance was returned home to celebrate his remaining days surrounded by family who loved him dearly. He was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven by father, George “Bud” Kammerer and brother Chuck Eaton, and survived by mother, Janet Kammerer, son Steven (Christy) Kammerer, and daughters, Sara (Brian) Kammerer and Susan (Robert) Thompson, his brothers Gerald (Betty) Eaton, James Eaton, John (Joanne) Eaton, Jimmy Roberts and sisters Sandra (Edward) Wainwright, Sheila (James) Ellison, Sandra (Joseph) Testerman, Tawnya (Herman) Lieske, and Sharon Kammerer, as well as his many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and, of course, man’s best friend, Gunther Kammerer.

Even though for the majority of his earthly journey Randy was a little rough around the edges, he knew God, was loved fiercely by those who knew him and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Elkton Church of the Nazarene welcoming all family and friends with service being led by brother-in-law, James Ellison on March 30, 2024, at 11 a.m. Directly following the celebration, light fare will be served in the fellowship hall in Randy's memory.
