Steven James McAnulty
March 9, 1961 – November 14, 2020
Steve was born on March 9, 1961, son of Donald Keith McAnulty and Judith Susan (VanFossan) McAnulty in Kirksville, MO. He was baptized in the Holy Ghost Evangelical & Reform Church on April 23, 1961. He graduated from Green Mountain High School in 1979 and attended the University of North Texas. He joined the United States Air Force in 1984 and left his military service as an E-4 in 1988.
Steve was considered a social butterfly to all who knew him. He loved to be the host and the life of the party wherever he went. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for the people he cared for. He was also known for his unique talent in telling stories and bestowing his extensive skills and knowledge to anyone who needed him.
Steve excelled in his achievements in his younger years in soccer and softball. Later in life, he found enjoyment in improving his skills as a pool player and dart player.
He also thoroughly enjoyed his adventures whether they involved taking the Harley out with his wife and friends, or on seeking new opportunities to build memories with close friends and family.
Steve will be remembered as a wonderful husband, caring and loving son, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, and friend. May his memories live on within each and every one of us.
Steve is survived by his wife, Melanie Rae McAnulty, his father Donald Keith McAnulty, his sister Kathleen Susan Murphy, his children Patrick James McAnulty, Taylor Elizabeth McAnulty, and Abigail Nicole McAnulty, his grandchildren Quinn Marie McAnulty and Kelsey Fern McAnulty, his Aunt Marilyn Spoden, and his cousins Daniel Kenneth Heck, Gary James Heck, and Lisa Carol Heck.
Steve is preceded in death by his mother.
