Steven's obituary
Steven Lufkin, 56, passed away on June 22, 2025, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. A devoted husband, father, son, and brother, Steve will be remembered for his steadfast faith, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
Born on September 9, 1968, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Steve was the son of Barbara and Galen Lufkin. He graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in Pittsfield in 1986 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in political science from Siena College in 1990. His early years laid the foundation for a life marked by service, leadership, and integrity.
Steve proudly served his country as a United States Marine for 13 years, rising to the rank of Major before retiring from military service. He exemplified honor and commitment throughout his military career. After leaving the military, Steve transitioned into the private sector, where he worked as a manager for Nestlé. His leadership skills and work ethic continued to shine as he went on to hold roles at AMI Expeditionary Healthcare LLC, Klement’s, and Batteries Plus, further demonstrating his adaptability and dedication across diverse industries.
Faith played a central role in Steve’s life. A devoted Christian with a firm belief in Christ, he was an active member of Elmbrook Church where he participated in a Men's Bible Study group. His spiritual convictions guided his actions and relationships and were evident to all who knew him.
Steve is survived by his loving wife Linda and their son Keven. He also leaves behind his parents Barbara and Galen Lufkin; his brothers Kenneth (Diane), John (Erin), and Michael; as well as his nephew Timothy and niece Amanda. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Outside of work and church, Steve found joy in many hobbies that reflected both his adventurous spirit and thoughtful nature. He enjoyed hunting and fishing—activities that connected him with the outdoors—as well as reading, gardening, home improvement projects, and video games. Whether working with his hands or relaxing with a good book or game, Steve embraced life fully.
Those who knew Steve remember him as a kind and generous man—a good son, husband, and dad—whose presence brought warmth and strength to every room he entered. His legacy lives on through the love he shared with family and friends.
May Steven Lufkin’s memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting reminder of a life lived with purpose and heart.
