It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Loyd Thompson, who passed away on June 16, 2023, at 61 years of age. Steven was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

Throughout his life, Steven was known for his kindness, generosity, and his adventurous personality. This was evident in his decision to become an organ donor.

Although Steven is no longer with us, he lives on through the gift of life that he has given to those in need. His selflessness and bravery in making this decision will never be forgotten, and his legacy will continue to inspire others to follow in his footsteps.

We hope that everyone who loved him will find comfort in knowing that Steven has made a positive impact on the world, even after his passing. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to live on through the lives he has saved.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Steven Thompson’s honor to the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency, LOPA.
