It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Steven Long on June 16, 2025, at the age of 73. Born in 1952, Steven led a life punctuated by a deep love for his family, a passion for all types of cuisine, and a dedication to the vibrant rhythms of Stevie Ray Vaughn and Buddy Guy.

Steven was predeceased by his beloved parents, Charles and Donna Long. He is survived by his children, Mark Keller, Brad McCombs, and Elizabeth Young as well as numerous grandchildren.

His brother, Jim Long, also survives Steven. Together, they shared countless laughs, fights, and unforgettable memories.

A true NASCAR enthusiast, Steven relished the thrill of the races. The roar of the engines and the cheering of the crowds brought him great enjoyment, often spending his weekends immersed in this exhilarating pastime. Moreover, Steven had an eclectic palette when it came to food. He held an appreciation for everything he could eat.

Known for his preference for unsweetened iced tea, Steven’s simple pleasures defined him. He was a man who found joy in the everyday, delighting in the ordinary moments that often go unnoticed. 

Steven Long was a man of great width, kindness, and humor. While his physical presence will be sorely missed, his spirit will forever be alive in the hearts of those who loved him.
