Steven Jeffrey Huey

Steven Jeffrey Huey, 63, of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully on April  29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 28, 1961, in Battle Creek, Michigan, Steve lived a life full of character, love, and resilience.

An Army veteran, Steve proudly served his country and carried that same strength and dedication throughout his life. He was known for his love of country music, his unwavering loyalty to the Miami Dolphins, and his talent for working with his hands—whether it was fixing something or building something from scratch. He also appreciated the simple joys of life, especially a nice cold beer shared in good company.

In the last three years of his life, Steve fought hard toward recovery, determined to spend more time with his family and watch his grandkids grow. He found joy and purpose in those moments—cheering from the sidelines at softball games, tossing the football around in the yard, and simply being present in their lives. He treasured every moment he could spend with them.

Steve is survived by his three children, Stephanie Huey, Melissa Clough, her husband Jeffrey Clough and Steven Huey; and his nine beloved grandchildren: Lissette Huey, Daren Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson, Jayla Clough, Meliah Clough, Curtis Huey, Ciera Huey, Cyleah Huey, and Nova Huey. His ex-wife remained by his side with love and care until his final moments.

Steve will be remembered for his sense of humor, his strength, and his deep love for his family. His legacy lives on in those who knew and loved him.
