Steven was a loving father, predeceased by his children, Steven Hastings Jr. and Gloria Hastings. Their memories stayed close to his heart until his last breath. He was an esteemed attendee of Faubion United Methodist Church where he found solace and communion.

A man of simple pleasures, Steven's favorites ranged from enjoying potatoes and sipping on Coca Cola to watching TV shows like "Cops". He treasured the competitive spirit of board games, especially "Trouble". Being an ardent supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs, he cherished the highs and lows that come with being a sports fan.

Steven was a man who loved the outdoors; he favored sitting outside, relishing the beauty of nature. His way of staying fit was unique and entertaining - sitting on the porch and engaging in conversations with neighbors or passersby. His favorite vacation spot was the lively city of Las Vegas, where he enjoyed the vibrant nightlife and entertainment. A lover of all shades of green, he found the color refreshing and calming.

Steven had a personality that could light up a room - he was bubbly, funny, caring, and outgoing. He believed in the power of independence and constantly encouraged everyone around him to stand on their own two feet. This is a lesson his friends and family will carry forward, reminding them of their beloved Steven.
