Steven's obituary
Steven Edward Hulse January 5, 1955 – April 1, 2025
Steven (Steve) Edward Hulse, age 70, passed away peacefully at his home in Meadview, Arizona. Born January 5, 1955, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ted and Sherry Hulse, Steve was the second oldest of six children. He grew up adventurous and outdoorsy, with a lifelong love for camping, fishing, and prospecting hobbies that defined much of his life and brought him great joy.
Steve graduated from Bountiful High School in Bountiful Utah in the spring of 1973. After graduating Steve enlisted in the military and was part of the 19th special forces where he served as a medic. Steve married his sweetheart Wendy (Clive) on September 24, 1982, in Bountiful Utah and they were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake temple on August 24, 2004. Together Steve and Wendy joyfully welcomed three children Mystique, Sean, and Dirk. Steve was always one to look for an adventure and loved to be warm in the desert. He spent his summers gold panning in the Utah, Nevada, and Arizona deserts, metal detecting, fishing, hunting and collecting coins. Steve loved to read and would often read while watching one of his favorite old western movies, always a cowboy at heart. Steve was active in his local ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Meadview Arizona and faithfully served in many callings, helping and serving anyone who needed help. He made many friends in Meadview, and his family was incredibly grateful for those friendships he made, and to those who loved him. Living in the desert had always been his dream, and after retirement he did just that, moving down to the heat of Arizona to live a quiet, slow-paced life with his love Wendy.
Steve is survived by the love of his life, Wendy, his three children Mystique Shepherd (Saratoga Springs Utah), Sean Hulse (Natasha) (Woods Cross Utah), and Dirk Hulse (Meadview Arizona), his seven grandchildren, his siblings and countless others who loved and cared for him and proceeded in death by his parents Ted and Sherry Hulse.
