Steven's obituary

Steven G. Dixon, age 45, of Rome, passed away on December 22, 2024, with his loving family at his side, after a long fight with Pancreatic Cancer.

He was born August 16, 1979, in Springfield, Ohio, a son of the late David Wells. Steven was united in marriage to the former Suzanne Allborty, on January 1, 2018, in Newport, New York. He was the owner of Dixon Home Improvements in Rome.

Steven's life revolved around his family and friends. He loved backyard BBQ's, camping in the Adirondacks and dropping a fishing line in any lake or river he could find.

Steven is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne; step-mother Sandy Wells; children, Mercedz Fancher of Rome, Raquel Dixon of Rome, Amethyst Scherer of Rochester, Jacquelyn (Nick) Allen of Rome, Relena Hinckley of Rome, Stephanie Dixon of Rome, Emerson Scherer, II of FL, Aurora Hinckley of NH, Steven G. Dixon, Jr of Rome, Liam Dixon of FL, Ryan Ratley of Rome, Ethan Dixon of Rome, Keegan Dixon of FL and Addisyn Murphy-Dixon of FL; father in Law and mother in law, Horace and Kathleen Allborty; three brothers and sister in law, Michael (Jessica) Wells, Chris Wells, and Jeff; and 8 grandsons. Several aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and great-niece Lil Rosie. He was predeceased by a sister, Tamie Conway.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 12 Noon, at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. The Internment service in Rome Cemetery will be private.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 10 AM to Noon, prior to the funeral service.
