King Stevie D's obituary

Steven Bernard Dixon, II was born to the union of Steven B. Dixon and Victoria Jackson Dixon on December 2, 1993, at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He departed this life on Saturday, November 9, 2019. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior while attending Living Faith Christian Center.

Steven was a graduate of Broadmoor High School and attended Baton Rouge Community College, both in Baton Rouge. In June 2019, he successfully completed the Sherwin Williams Homework Interior Painting Course.

Steven enjoyed rapping, basketball, and fashion. He was compassionate, generous, witty, cheerful, and adventurous, with an abiding love for his family and friends. While in high school, he took an interest in culinary art, and pursued his craft at a local Bakery, McDonald’s, and other restaurants, perfecting his skill. He grew up in church and received his Word foundation at Star Hill Baptist Church and later Living Faith Christian Center.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Victoria Jackson Dixon and his father, Steven (Beverly) Dixon Sr.; his sisters, LaSadie Monique Dixon and LeTania (Maurice) Whitfield; adopted grandmother, Mildred Ewing; aunts: Barbara Jackson, Ann Shirley Hinkle, Tami Ewing, Dr. Gwendolyn (Willie) Honore, Brenda (Louis) Deggs, Shannon (Dwayne) Stepter, Jr, Loni Vaughn, Vertis Dixon, and Yvonne (Lionel) Lanehart Sr; uncles, Gregory Williams, Joseph (Yolanda) Nance, Donald (Erma) Dixon, Andre(Alice)Dixon,Sr.,Hosea(Patricia) Dixon and Ernest(Cynthia)Douglas; special great aunt, Clytie Smith, two nieces, Tania & Araya Whitfield; godparents, James & Mercedes Johnson, Frankie Johnson, and Acquanetta Reiss, great aunts, great uncles, and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Sadie Jackson and Versa Dixon; grandfathers, Ernest A. Smith and Alonzo Dixon, Jr., aunt, Judy Ford and uncle Vernon Hinkle Jr.
