I met Steven over 20 years ago when I worked as a Camera Operator in Florida. I moved to Los Angeles to get to the next level. Kept in touch with Steve a bit, but not as much as I wanted to. We were sepposed to het together when I visited, but was hard. I got Steven into the Society of Camera Operators.(SOC).He promised to buy me dinner when I visited. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Tried to get in touch in his last days, but never heard back. Distance and time goes by fast. Appreciate the things you have. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. A great guy, and Cameraman. He will surely be missed.

Steven was a lifelong friend. Our mothers were best friends, so Steven and I spent an infinite number of hours together. I was always struck by his tenacity (an enthusiasm for electric guitars grew into his passion for film) and eloquence. One of Steven's proudest achievements may have been his work on the Spielberg Shoah project. Congregation Rodeph Sholom (NYC) will read Steven's name at the end of services tonight, 1/29 (6 p.m.) and tomorrow morning (10:15 a.m.). Go to rodephsholom.org. Click on worship and livestream.
