Steven Charles Thompson, 71, of Rock Hill, NY, passed away on July 19, 2023.Steven was born on February 28, 1952 to John Leslie Thompson II and Jean Cormier Thompson in Franklin, NJ. After graduating from Tennessee Wesleyan College in 1974, he started his career as an Audio Engineer and on to Entertainment Director at Great Gorge Playboys Club, NJ and then Kutshers Country Club, NY, where in 2001 he met Lynn Starr, a singer, and became an instant match. They wed in 2003. In 2004, Steven started his own business, Express Audio, and worked many venues directing the setup of sound and lightin for major entertainers.

After retiring in 2016, Steven spent his time skiing, sailing and enjoying his close knit family. Steven was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Starr Weissman, two children, Nancy Jean Thompson and Oliver Romayne Thompson as well as his grandchild Kallie Jean Johnston. He is also survived by his brothers John Thompson III (Tom) and spouse Joanne, Jeffrey Paul Thompson and spouse Linda, Matthew Chase Thompson and sister Marsha Louise Thompson-Saharyran (Mimi) and spouse Ronald, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Steven always gave his best. He was kind to all and it was reciprocated. He had a strong will to live and did so until his passing. Steven will be missed greatly by family, friends, coworkers and everyone who was blessed to be a part of his life.
