Adam's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Steven "Adam" Thomas on August 23, 2024. I know he passed on the 20th, but as it wasn't witnessed, they go with when he was found. Born on February 23, 1983, he was 41. Adam was known to be a caring, witty, and smart individual who led a quiet and solitary life, but had a genuine love for people.
Adam is survived by his mother, Kathy Austin; father, Joseph Austin; sister, Katie Hasek; grandmother, Barbara Robert; Aunt Kellie Stevens, Aunt Becky Behrens, Uncle Bruce Stevens; and cousins Michelle Ramey, David Behrens, Chris Behrens, and Mandy Behrens. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dennis Stevens and Red (Buddy) Robert, Great Aunt Claudine (Dee), Great-grandfather Claude Adams, Great grandmother Ursula Adams and cousin Matthew Behrens.
A lover of Greek, Seafood, and Mexican cuisines, Adam also enjoyed energy drinks, to his own dismay. His favorite reads were from Stephen King and he appreciated a wide range of music, his favorites being The Beatles, Classic Rock, and Indie. Adam found solace in video games, movies and podcasts, these were his favorite recreational activities.
Compassionate in his causes, he was a strong advocate for Animal Welfare. His favorite color was blue, which beautifully reflected his calm and serene personality. The best lesson he had to share with the world was to be kind.
In his memory, funds are being raised to help with the cremation expenses. Contributions can be made at https://everloved.com/life-of….
Adam may have led a quiet life, but his presence did not go unnoticed. Although he had many struggles in life, he cared deeply about others, and often more than he realized...they cared for him in return. His gentle spirit, wit, and kindness will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
