It is with great sadness that we announce the  passing of Steven A.  Collins, 57,  in Palm Harbor Florida, on June 6, 2023 . 

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, on January 13, 1966.  Steven will be remembered for his sense of humor that brought infectious laughter and smiles. He had an outgoing personality and positive attitude always willing to be there for you in a time of need. His kindness and wit had a special way of making anyone who had the privilege of knowing him feeling treasured and embraced. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones and believed in living a life filled with compassion and purpose. 

He received several certifications from the Community College of Rhode Island. He was a skilled barber since 2006, and notoriously known as "Steve the barber" in RI and "Scuba Steve" in FL. He loved his job because it allowed him to socialize with people and making whoever was sitting in the chair feel good about themselves. Steve showed his artistic skills through drawing, writing and his career.   

Steven is survived by his beloved siblings Cynthia (Collins) Cirello (Salvatore Cirello), Mark Collins (Debra Batchelor); nieces Catrina Cirello (Ronald Harrop), Samantha Collins (Patrick O'Connor), Isabella Harrop; nephews Christopher Cirello, and Christian Harrop; partner Christine DiFilippo.  Though he will be dearly missed, Steven's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him best. 

Relatives and friends are invited for a celebration of life on June 17th at 1pm in Oldsmar, Florida.

Steven will be laid to rest in St. Ann's cemetery, Cranston RI, beside his late mother, Patricia A. Collins with a celebration of life at a later date in RI.
