Steve Omon Akhigbe Johnson, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and man of unwavering faith, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025, in Maryland, USA, at the age of 73.

Born on May 7, 1952, in Irrua, Edo State, Nigeria, Steve lived a life marked by compassion, service, and deep spiritual commitment. A dedicated nurse by profession, he cared for others with gentleness and grace throughout his career, retiring in 2020. Beyond his vocation, Steve was a pillar in his church community—faithfully leading Bible studies, mentoring others in their spiritual journeys, and ministering with humility and conviction. He also held vital leadership roles in the Esan Association, where he was the chairman of the constitution committee and a former president.

Steve was a true family man. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his beloved wife, Perpetua Johnson, and his children. He was a lifelong learner who loved reading and studying the Bible, and he also enjoyed following the stock market and investing with thoughtful curiosity.

Steve’s legacy is one of love, wisdom, and faith. He touched countless lives with his words, presence, and steadfast belief in God's promises.
