Steve's obituary

Steve Adcox, 71, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on August 26, 2022 after a long 14 year health battle.Steve was born on February 1, 1951 to Clyde and Nelwyn Adcox in Bogalusa, LA.  After graduating from Bogalusa High School in 1970, he went on to study economics at Northeastern Louisiana University. In 1972, he met his beautiful bride Dianne, and wed in 1974. God blessed them with one son, Matt, in 1985. Steve was full of life, a friend to all,  and the life of a party.  Steve was in the workforce in sales for 20 years and when he got saved  he dedicated his life to making sure that everyone he came into contact with knew about Jesus and later became a pastor for the next 20 years.  He had a huge heart of compassion, always helping those in need.  His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Dianne, Matt, Karla and his two grandson’s, Baize and Greyson. He was predeceased by Clyde Harper Adcox, Nelwyn Adcox, and Larry Adcox.  He is survived by his wife- Dianne, son- Matt, daughter-in-law- Karla, grandson’s- Baize and Greyson, brother- Clyde, and sister- Chanda.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers please donate to the link provided on this page so Dianne can continue to carry on Steve’s legacy of helping others.

There will be a Celebration of Life service on September 2, 2022 at 11am at 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207
