I had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Steveanne Auerbach in the 1970s in San Francisco. She was a dynamic, thoughtful, enchanting woman. Our daughters were the same age. For some reason last week, I thought about Steveanne, decided to track her down and was devastated to hear of her death. It was my honor to have know her.
