I remember Scott as a gentle giant! We attended Wilmington College together and also appeared on stage together. The first meeting I had with him was at a college party, and there are pictures of him lifting me over his head! We had lost track of one another, and hearing of his passing has left a hole in my heart! Rest in piece dear friend!!!

I haven't seen my cousin Scott for decades but I'm glad that within the last one we started sharing phone calls. The last time I saw him, he visited our home in Florida with my Aunt Flossie (his Mom) and his sister Pennie Sue and her husband Ron. I have never seen anyone eat so much. He was preparing for football at Tennessee and needed lots of calories. LOL
Other memories include his time at our farm in Ohio where we swam in the pond together. He took an inflatable boat, put it over his head and pretended to be Gamera the giant turtle from the Godzilla movies.
Rest in Peace cousin! Sincere condolences to Andy and his family! Every time we talked on the phone he talked about you and how proud he was of you and how much he loved you!

This obituary says it all. Scott was the best neighbor I ever had. He was kind, thoughtful, and always had something positive to say. Scott was an earth angel. It warms my heart to think about the celebration that took place when he returned home.❤️

Rest in peace, cousin Scott. So many great memories of hanging out at your house with the family when I was young. I will always cherish them. Aunt Flossie especially made Christmas time magical. Your mom was always so very proud of you and I know you were a great uncle to Andy and his kids!
