Steve was an amazing guy fun to hang out with. When Adam's News, where I had worked 25 years was for sale Steve rescued me. Gave me a job at TNG and was an avid coach, cheerleader and mentor. He will definitely be missed by all who knew him.
I was heartbroken to hear of Steve's passing. I've been thinking about you kids every day, having to face the world without Steve and April. It's hard to think of one without the other. Although this is such a sad time, I can't help but smile & laugh thinking of all the memories from our 7 years together. I loved Steve's unapologetic fight for animals and for what he thought was just! "Alicia, if we do what's right for the animals, we can't go wrong". He was a passionate guy and it was contagious. From everything to picking up new Rez Dogs, picking his March Madness brackets to picking which tacos he'd be having for lunch... he did it with gusto and humor. The obituary is perfect. A character with character. And he will be missed. -Alicia
Steve and April. Mikey and Ashley. Binky the goat. Lisa invited us into this fabulous world of love and FUN. So many Thanksgivings spent together in Bellevue - where we were welcomed like family. Family meant everything to Steve and April and it meant everything to us to be included. Sending much love to the rest of the family xoxoxoxo
I’ll miss Steve although I haven’t seen him for some time. We spent Thanksgiving with his family numerous times in Bellevue when we didn’t have family here. I enjoyed his smile, kindness, jovial manner and friendliness. I’ll remember watching football together, going to see the Stones and all of us singing lyrics from Gimme Shelter (so funny). Steve was very down to earth, a good man. RIP amigo.
