Stephen's obituary
Steve Walker passed away on April 6th, 2026, at home in Tujunga, after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded through that fight by daily visits and support from the people he loved, and he wanted everyone to know how much that meant to him.Steve spent his whole life in the foothills that he loved, among friends, neighbors, family, and clients whose paths crossed his over the years. He knew everyone, or so it seemed to his wide-eyed sons. If you knew Steve, you knew what mattered to him was the people he met and the stories and history they shared. He stayed connected, and he asked the same of everyone in his life.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 4:00 PM at South Pasadena Christian Church, 1316 Lyndon Street, South Pasadena, CA 91030. Light refreshments will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Loch Leven Camp & Retreat Center — a place that shaped Steve's formative years and that he believed young people need now more than ever — or to South Pasadena Christian Church.
Many of you have generously asked how you can help. The simplest answer is this: please share this with anyone Steve would have wanted to know. He had a wide circle, and a lot of his people aren't on Facebook. For questions or anything else at all, please contact his son, Warren Walker (walkerwa@protonmail.com). Thank you for all your kind words and deeds, and I look forward to seeing you there. Please RSVP, though it is not required for the event, I am trying to get a sense of who has been told, and who hasn't, so I can continue reaching out.**Note: You may have found this page due to a generic email or text from me, and I apologize. I've reached out to as many people as I can directly, and he just knew so many of you, and I wanted to get the word out as effectively as I could.
