Steve was always so fun to be around. I was blessed to spend so much time with him over several years. One day I was a Metro helping Steve get a piece of equipment back running. A Hydraulic line blew up in my face and blinded me for several hours and swole my face up for several days. When the accident happened I freaked out because I thought I’d never see again. Steve grabbed me up and started to pat me on the butt like I was a baby. He was always so smart. It calmed me back down to the point that I could follow directions. The next time I saw him he told me “like a child with a mother , patting on the butt will instinctively calm a person down.”  I told him thanks for everything but don’t do that again. Lol. I sure do miss our conversations. The world is a lesser place without him.
Steve was a wonderful man who I learned so much from. I truly believe the world is a lesser place knowing that we have lost Steve. I know how proud he was of Dr Roger G.   Steve was so dedicated to his son and Roger was to him.

The world will be a little darker without big Steve. I met Stephen in 1999. Metro scrap was one of my accounts. Steve and I hit it off instantly. Over the years he would come to my office, and buy something he really didn't need as an excuse to visit. I have never met a father more proud of his son. I can tell you anything you want to know about Roger. Steve shared every proud moment of his life with me and always took interest in my life as he would always ask me how my daughter was doing.  He loved and adored his family. This was evident in the way he lived his life. He was the hardest working man i have ever known. working countless hours at Metro to support his family. Never complaining, always positive. Steve was a man to be admired, respected, and looked up to. He will be missed.
We are sorry for your loss. We will keep the family in our prayers.
