Stephen's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephen "Stevie" Martin, who left us on August 7, 2024. Known affectionately as Stevie, he was born on November 8, 1949. A man of invaluable virtues, his profound absence will be felt by many.

Stephen was a beacon of kindness, always caring and compassionate, and generously shared his love with everyone around him. His personality was as sweet as the ice cream he loved to eat. Stephen had a beautiful way of bringing positivity into our lives, teaching us to find happiness in the simple things.

Stephen enjoyed drawing, and creating his own world in his mind. He also had a knack for coming up with the most endearing nicknames, brightening up our days with his wit and creativity. He loved to read and constantly learn new things.  Whenever you were looking for Stevie you could find him looking through books at the nearest bookshelf.

Stephen is survived by his brothers, Paul Martin and Tim Martin, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nephew and cousins who will remember and cherish these precious qualities of Stephen, along with many others who had the joy of knowing him. He was affectionately known as "Uncle Stevie" to his nieces & nephews. He would even help change diapers or make them giggle as children,  and always greeted them with a warm embrace and smile.  His legacy—a legacy of love, compassion, and kindness—will continue to live on in our hearts. His memory will be a constant reminder of his altruistic spirit, and his lessons will guide us in our life.

We will miss Stephen dearly every day. His indomitable spirit, caring heart, and affectionate demeanor will be eternally etched in our memories. As we remember Stephen, let us carry forward the love and compassion he fostered in each of us.
