My condolences to Stephen's family. I first met Stephen at McGuire AFB as both Air Force Active Duty members, working on the Flight Line in the late 70's and early 80's. Steve was a highly respected Technician, always willing to assist a colleague, sharing his expertise to whomever was in need. Our paths crossed again in the mid 80's, back at McGuire as civilian employees, Air Reserve Technicians, again on the Flight Line. In the late 80's our paths diverged again but only to cross again purely by happenstance in 200, walking through Atlanta's Hartsfield Airport, both headed home from our respective business trips. We exchanged contact information and remained in touch, mainly through Facebook. Our communications commonly would involve aviation related stories as he said he missed aviation, having gone into Property Management years prior. In the summer of 2015, Steve was on a business trip to my area of Virginia and were able to meet for a "catch up on life" and a beverage on his way to the airport for his trip home. We were able to meet up again in 2022 or so in the Marietta, GA area as I was on a business trip to Dobbins AFB and we enjoyed some of his favorite wings and a beverage or two and "caught up" once again.
I remember when Steve met his beautiful Eileen, and married shortly thereafter. Steve and Eileen made each other happy and shared many of their experiences; wedding ceremony, various NASCAR races, Paris, thru Facebook. Bless you my friend until I see you again.

So sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. I met Steve in the Air Force sometime about 1980 and maintained an acquaintance with him. I believe the last time that I saw him in New Jersey was around 1996. We communicated on Facebook through the years, but hadn’t seen anything posted by him for quite some time. Thoughts and prayers are going out to your family and friends. Take care!✝️

Stevie D as I affectionately renamed you in true Jersey fashion, you are more than missed, my brother. The time you Steven B, Eddie C and I flew around the east Coast visiting communities and all the cool folk we worked with was an amazing run! I am blessed to have spent the time with you, in the trenches, working like crazy folk and man did we have some incredible time! Miss you, brother. Rest well... Catch you on the back 40....and even though I'm a Pittsburgh guy, I will riot your team on in honor you you. Cheers my brother.....till we meet again.

It's hard to put into words the kindness and patience he brought into our work lives. Stephen, you were my go-to person whenever I stumbled upon building issues I wasn't familiar with. Your willingness to jump on a call and patiently walk me through every step always made a world of difference. Your expertise, combined with your warm and friendly demeanor, turned challenges into opportunities to learn and grow.
I'll forever cherish the moments when you generously shared your knowledge, making even the most complex issues seem manageable. Your legacy lives on in the kindness you showed, the guidance you provided, and the lasting impact you had on all of us. Rest in peace, Stephen, You will be greatly missed.

Steve and I worked together at Wentworth Property Management / FirstService Residential from 2008 - 2013. He and I were on the road, at the airport and in the trenches together very frequently. Those of you who know Steve will attest to the fact that he is an opinionated guy. We had our share of arguments, which would cause his deep baritone voice to go even deeper. If there is ever a movie about Steve's life, I want Mike Rowe to play him... We always came out of our arguments better off because we were willing to exchange ideas. Without dissent there is no diversity of thought. Frequently our arguments ended with a friendly quip about the mental acuity of Marines vs. Airmen from one direction or the other. Good times...
Above all, I remember Steve as a pillar of ethics, which is becoming increasingly rare in our industry. We never once disagreed on an ethical discussion. His calm, measured and analytical approach to working through challenges is inspiring, and I saw it in action countless times in some very dicey situations. He is the consummate professional, and truly inspires confidence with Clients and co-workers.
Kacie, we never met, but I can tell you that Steve was immensely proud of you and spoke of you very frequently. I have a Daughter close to your age and can tell you from experience that a Father's love is unconditional and never dies... Eileen, Steve was truly a changed man after the two of you met - it was readily observable that you had a major positive impact on his life. To both of you and the rest of Steve's family, I am profoundly sorry for your loss.
Thank you Steve, for your service to our country, for the memories, and for making me a better person. You left us too soon, but I look forward to hoisting a cold one with you in an airport bar on the other side...

I worked with Steve at Plaza Towers. He was doing such an excellent job of transforming the building. I often said that he was bringing law and order to Plaza Towers. I enjoyed our conversations not only about the industry, but also about where to get the best Philly cheesesteak sandwich in Atlanta. Sincere condolences to the family. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Here are a few scriptures that give encouragement in times of distress, such as this. Stephen was a trusted friend and confidante and a mentor to many in our division. Though I know our loss pales in comparison to that of his beloved family, we all grieve knowing his encouragement, wit and genuine compassion is gone. This is a profound loss for me. Prayers of peace and only the happiest of memories to you Eileen, Kacie, Mr. Doran and all who loved Stephen.

Please accept my wish for comfort and peace at this time. At my very first meeting with Stephen we clicked, our love of the Philadelphia Eagles was quite apparent. I enjoyed working with him professionally. Most of all I will remember his joy and kindness.

Stephen had a way about him that not many in this world did. He always knew his audience and usually brought his A game of wit and charm. His warm smile and hearty laugh will be missed greatly. My heart is broken and my thoughts are all I can give to his loved ones. Stephen lives on in each one of you!
