What a gentle humble but very funny giant of a person that Stephen was. Even though I'd see him in times with health issues, you would never know by his demeanor. He was always so friendly, gentle, loving, and humorous even in those very moments. He is dearly missed. My sincere condolences to Maria and the whole family. May God comfort you and may you feel His presence as you grieve his loss.

Dear Maria-I'm so sorry for your loss! I attended high school with Stephen at St Francis. We had several classes together including art our junior year. He was such a beautiful person with a kind heart. He was also very good at art & drawing. We both ended up in Southern CA after our high school graduation and I didn't have a car so he would drive up to Long Beach State from Northridge, I believe where he was living with family and going to the state university there. He'd take me to Target so I could buy groceries and stuff for my dorm room.

We stayed in touch on Facebook but I recently was locked out of my account. I didn't realize that he had passed until one of our  mutual friends notified me. I'm so sorry for your loss. He will be missed!

Maria, please accept our sincere sympathy in the loss of Stephen.  Diane and Tony Marchiando, Lori's parents.

Praying for the Burns family in their time of loss. Knew of you guys from church. The kids were all in my VBS crafts pod at one time or another, and then they became pod leaders, and I think Stephen was a co leader with me once.  Although I saw more of the Baileys and Maria and Sophie, and Stephanie, (from VBS and crafts and kids Sunday school) the kids at church, Stephen there too. I think my sister, Martha told me first of his passing. He is now with Jesus.
Stephen had such a big heart. He was such a wonderful man, gentle, kind and loving, just like Jesus. I'm so sad, but I know I will see him again. Maybe he will be watching the SuperBowl from heaven. Do you think they get ESPN up there? We surely will miss him.

I wish I was there to be of comfort to you. Just know I’m praying for you and your family. The love and memories your family has shared will be forever. My love to you all in this time of grief. Sincerely, Jennifer and Family.
We didn’t know Stephen well, but we knew him enough to know that earth just lost an amazing man. Praying for you all.
The Vazquez/Starghill mourns with all of you. Stephen’s quiet and kind presence since the first time we met while Josh and I were in high school, will be missed. He was a great guy and a wonderful father to the girls and the boys. I hope his kindness and caring continues on in the lives of stephie and Sofie and that his memory lives on through the lives of all of you.. All of our love

Maria and family so very sorry for your loss. My family’s prayers will continue for your family. Live in Christ-The Hamilton’s
Debbie and I were shocked and saddened to hear about Stephen. He was a quiet and beautiful person. We love the Burns family and pray for peace.

Howard and I are so very, very sad to hear of Stephen's passing.  Stephen was such a good, kind, gentle, soul.  We had so many really wonderful times together in our Life Group, and other get-togethers, over 15+ years.  Maria and family, our hearts ache for you!

We pray that the wonderful, amazing truth of Jesus Christ bring you-all a deep, deep comfort!

It’s so sad to hear about Stephen, and our condolences go out to Maria and the children. We have so many great memories of Stephen’s warm and friendly smile as he was always helping out at Christ Community Church in Milpitas. May he rest peacefully in our Lord’s presence.
My wife and I met Steve when we were still single back in the early 1990’s. We all worked for a law firm in San Jose. We became quick friends who hung out all the time and could often be found at lunch time playing poker in the lunchroom. When my wife and I married over 25 years ago, Steve was such a big part of our lives that he was one of our groomsmen. My wife and I are heartbroken hearing of Steve’s passing. Our prayers are with his family during this most difficult time. He was such a good guy and friend.
