We were sad to learn of Steve's departure from this earth, but celebrate his arrival in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Debbie and the entire Burnett family we want you to know that you will be remembered in our prayers.
All of us at Simons Petroleum knew Steve professionally. Steve always was an individual that it was a joy to deal with. He displayed continence, integrity and lasting impact on all of us. His commitment to his family was central to who he was, and brought those same values to the work place. He was known for his fairness, approachability, and genuine regard for those around him. Steve will be missed by all that knew him.

Dear Burnett Family,
Please accept our deepest condolences.
We worked with Stephen during his days working for Chesapeake & Trinity. Myself, Randy Pierce and Paul Duren always share the special memories only Stephen could have made eternal. We all re-visit his beyond sharp mind, gentle hysterical “jabs” and ability to compare/contrast a current situation with a historical occurrence. He was a great story- teller and made sure office visits were never boring!
Knowing him also let us know how much he adored his family. He was the proud patriarch every family hopes for—fiercely devoted to his wife, kids, and grandkids.
You all are in thoughts and prayers. With deepest respect and sympathy,
