Stephen's obituary

March 23, 1963 - June 3, 2024

Prince Stephen Idowu Aluko, 61, of Acworth, GA, passed from this world to be with the Lord on June 3, 2024.

Born in Ikere, Ekiti State, Nigeria, on March 23, 1963, Stephen was the youngest child of Gabriel Fabamise Aluko, Alare of Are, and Olori Lydia Olayemi Aluko. Stephen exemplified a spirit of excellence in everything he committed himself to with notable respect to his expansive career within the industry of Information Technology.

Among Stephen’s most admirable qualities was his love and commitment to his family and close friends. As a young immigrant to the United States, he built a solid support system of family members and friends. Stephen and his wife, Karen, raised their children together, all of whom possess the best attributes of both parents and were taught the importance of faith, family, and striving for excellence.

Although he built his life in the US with his wife and children, Stephen visited Nigeria often to remain connected to family, friends, the Yoruba culture, and his hope to be an agent of change in his homeland.

Stephen was a master on the grill, oftentimes earning him accolades for his delicious handiwork. He enjoyed building computers, traveling, and several years of attending his children’s band and chorus concerts, baseball and football games, cheerleading competitions, track meets, and many graduation ceremonies. Stephen was a man of faith who experienced the transformative power of Jesus Christ.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Karen, their children, Shanice, Stephanie, Stephen (Taylor), Stephan Isaiah, Samaria (Benjamin), Serena, and Simon, and his grandchildren, Isaac, Noah, and Malakai. He is also survived by a host of siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family members around the globe. He was preceded in death by two sons.

Funeral service will be held on July 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Linked UP Church: 4331 Brownsville Rd, Powder Springs, GA, 30127.

While flowers are welcomed, the family would appreciate any donations sent to support the Aluko Family during this time and/or monetary gifts to the ALS Foundation in memory of Stephen.
