Stephanie's obituary
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Stephanie Stewart Spitler, a cherished mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who left us on January 12, 2025. Born on May 30, 1972, Stephanie lived a vibrant and passion-filled life, making an indelible impact on those fortunate enough to have known her.
Stephanie is survived by her beloved children; Mackenzie Spitler and James Dalton Spitler, her loving mother, Sandra Stewart, and her two sisters, Michelle Small and Danielle Hoenig. She was predeceased by her sister, Royanne Stewart; her partner, Shawn Kelly; her grandmother, Donna Jenkins, and her ex-husband, James Stephen Spitler.
Stephanie loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was known for her sweet tooth, her love for an ice cold Pepsi, and her fondness for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, Tim McGraw's music and Jelly Roll. A self-proclaimed Hallmark enthusiast, Stephanie enjoyed the simple things in life. She was a proud supporter of the Florida Gators and the Pittsburgh Steelers and preferred to spend her free time at the beach or spending time with her children. Stephanie cherished the tranquility of the ocean, retreating to any beach for vacation, with her favorite colors of orange and blue often reflected in her attire.
Known for her funny and playful personality, Stephanie also possessed a warmth and caring spirit that drew people towards her. Her greatest accomplishment, as she would proudly say, was being a mom. She encouraged those around her to never give up, instilling resilience and determination in her children. Through all the ups and downs, Stephanie demonstrated a love and compassion that has been an inspiration to many, a legacy that will live on.
A memorial service for Stephanie will be held on January 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Howard E. Futch Memorial Park at Paradise Beach, South Pavilion, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:15 PM at the Azan Shriners Center.
Stephanie's vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for her family will be fiercely missed. She leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but takes with her the unconditional love of those she touched during her time with us. Stephanie Lane Spitler, forever in our hearts.
