Stephanie's obituary
Stephanie was born on May 27, 1981, to the late Terry Simpson and Angela Stickney in Harrisburg, Illinois. At a young age the family moved to the place Stephanie called home: Niles, Michigan. She earned her GED and attended online college classes. Stephanie was a phenomenal painter and artist, free soul, full of a childlike joy for life, and an excellent fiance and homemaker. Music was also a passion of Stephanie’s; if you were to turn on her playlist it would go from rock, to country, to rap, to classical, to Disney, and EVERYTHING in between. If you could sing to it Stephanie would!
Stephanie will always be known as someone who lived in the moment and was always true to herself.
She was preceded in death by her father, Terry Simpson and her mother, Angela Stickney.
Stephanie leaves to cherish her memory her fiancé, caregiver, and her love, Robert “BJ” McKay of Niles; siblings, Suzanne (Chad) McGinnis of Niles, Melissa Simpson of Niles, Abigail (Farooq) Shariff of Niles, and Jonathan Stickney of Niles; nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and close friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at New Harvest Church of God located at 2400 Yankee Street in Niles at 11:00 a.m. with a time of visitation one hour prior. Stephanie will be interred at Mission Hills Memorial Mausoleum with her mom.
